Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Invoice Rescue collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to visitors to invoicerescue.co.uk, prospective clients who request an audit, clients who use the service, and debtors whose invoices we chase on a client's behalf.
Who we are

What we collect
- If you request a free audit: name, work email, company name, an overdue-amount band, and anything you add in the optional message field.
- If you become a client: your company name, contact name and email, chosen plan, and the invoice data you give us to chase — debtor name, debtor email, invoice number, amount, and due date.
- Debtor data: when we chase an invoice on a client's behalf, we hold the debtor's name and email and a log of the messages sent to them (subject, escalation step, outcome), so we can track and report progress.
Why we process it
- Audit requests: legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.
- Client data: necessary to perform the contract for the plan you're subscribed to.
- Debtor data: legitimate interest in recovering payment on our client's behalf, for the specific invoice they've asked us to chase — the same basis our clients would rely on chasing the debt themselves.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of processors to run the service, none of whom may use your data for their own purposes:
- Cloudflare — hosting and database storage.
- Stripe — payment processing for client subscriptions.
- Google Workspace — business email.
- An AI provider (currently routed via OpenRouter) — used to draft the wording of chase messages. Every draft is reviewed by a human before anything is sent; the AI provider does not send messages directly.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with anyone beyond what's needed to deliver the service.
How long we keep it
Audit requests that don't convert to a client are kept for up to 12 months. Client and invoice records are kept for the duration of the client relationship plus a period afterwards to meet accounting and legal obligations.
Cookies
The site doesn't set tracking or analytics cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google's font CDN, which may see your IP address as part of that request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or stop processing your personal data, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've got something wrong. Contact hello@invoicerescue.co.uk for any of this.
